As Global HSE Design Engineer (m/f/d) you support the Global QSHE team in creating an harmonized and centralized QSHE system and in auditing of its implementation.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Evaluation: Collaborate with project teams to assess the potential health, safety, process safety and environmental risks associated with new designs and modifications.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including hazard identification and risk analysis, to proactively address safety and environmental concerns in design plans.
• Safety Recommendations: Develop and communicate safety and environmental improvement recommendations to project teams, ensuring their integration into project designs and construction.
• Emergency Response Planning: Assist in the development of emergency response plans and procedures to address potential incidents during design and construction phases. 
• Training and Education: Provide guidance and training to project teams and other staff members on HSE best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry and Brenntag best practices, emerging regulations, and technological advancements related to design HSE. Recommend and implement improvements to our HSE processes. 

YOUR PROFILE

• Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Geology or other Natural Science bachelor’s degree; preferred NEBOSH or other equivalent certificates
• 5+ years related industry experience
• QSHE Management; dangerous goods handling; compliance, legal management, ISO 9001, 14001, 18001/45001
• Self-motivated, continuous learner, curious, team player
• Perfect English skills; an additional language will be a plus (German, Spanish, Portuguese, French...)
